Whether you are a beginner camper or a experienced camper, if is always good to learn a new tip or two. If you are a beginner make camping reservations at your nearest Illinois Campground.
Make a list of items that you will need on your Illinois camping trip, and check them off as you pack. The list should include equipment, food, and clothing. The following list is an example:
Proper Clothing
Proper Camping Gear
Proper Cooking Equipment
Cooler With Ice
Emergency Kits
Bring only comfortable clothes and hiking boots. Always bring an additional pair of boots in case your other pair gets wet. New hiking boots should already be thoroughly broken in before the camping trip.
Stay on the move because exercise helps burn off negative energy you have stored up all week. Do something you enjoy doing like hiking to your favorite bird watching spot, or riding a mountain bike on a scenic trail. When your camping trip is over, your batteries will be recharged for the beginning of the week. But it’s up to you to keep the positive energy flowing. Like anything, an ounce of prevention…maintaining stress from piling up on an ongoing basis is up to you and within your control.
Camping is a learning experience. Every time you go out camping, you learn a new tip which makes your next camping trip a little more convenient. Who knows, one day once you learned every single tip, you will have the perfect camping trip.

Many people go camping with out the necessities such as a tent, supplies and first aid kits. When this happens, your camping excursion can be very challenging. Illinois Camping can be great fun but you should always prepare for things that may come up. Sudden changes in weather can occur and accidents can happen. Make a list of the supplies you will need and carefully pack for your trip. Being prepared will help ensure you have a great time and stay as safe as possible in all conditions. Never pee around the area where you are camping at because it will attract wild animals to your camp site. This is especially for the guys. Put a rug in front of your tent opening to leave your shoes on. That way your tent doesn’t get gritty from your shoe dirt. Don’t pitch your tent on low ground – water will gather there and you will have a soggy and uncomfortable tent Always pitch on higher ground. I recommend visiting some Illinois campgrounds for starters to get the hank of it first. Hope these tips help you on your next excursion. Remember, camping in Illinois is the best way to get a way from it all so, sit back light a fire, and look at the stars in the skies while you are cooking your marshmallows. Happy Camping.

Camping is the cheapest vacation holiday there is;however because of the local gas prices most campers are trying to book their camping reservations a lot closer to due the high cost of gas which at this time to seems to not end no time in the next few years. I think that is an excellent idea because if your camper runs on diesel fuel, you are paying an arm and leg at the pump versus paying for regular gas. If you are paying for regular gas,you have a little more breathing room versus someone paying for diesel fuel. Nevertheless, no matter how you look at it gas prices are going to continue to rise and if you still want to camp, you have to be smart and determine upfront what your fuel cost are going to be before you go on your next camping trip. Advice from the wise, find the closest campground to you book your campground reservation, and most importantly determine your mileage per gallon of gas to determine how much money you will spend for fuel.
